The Lamb

A setting a poem by William Blake, from the Songs of Innocence (1789).

The Lamb was commissioned by Kate De Goldi to celebrate the birthday of her sister, Margaret Mary. It was composed for Margaret Mary (soprano) and Clare (a third sister and mezzo soprano) to perform with Kate at the piano.
The poem is one of their favourites.
